How do guests join — do they need to install anything?

No install required. Guests scan the QR code and enter the event password, tap an App Clip card on iPhone (nothing to download), or join straight from any phone’s browser. From that moment, every photo and video they take flows into the shared live feed.

How is this different from an iMessage shared album?

Shared albums cap at 100 contributors and require everyone to be on iOS, or on Android with Google set up just so. Mixed–platform events fall apart at the door. Festoso has no platform requirement for guests, a live big–screen feed on your own URL, an organizer console, retention controls, and one–tap bulk export. It is a different category of product.

Does it work on Android?

Yes. Festoso runs on both iPhone and Android, and guests can join from any phone’s browser regardless of platform. Real evenings are mixed–platform; we would be of little use otherwise.

Can guests record video?

Yes — photos, video, and bursts, all through the native camera. An offline-resilient upload queue means shots still arrive through bad venue wifi, a dropped signal, or an app restart.

What can I do with the photo editor?

Adjust light, color, and crop; reach for HSL color, a vignette, one-tap presets, and event watermarking. Edit a shot and push the corrected version back into the event feed.

How do I show the feed on a screen at the venue?

Open your event’s live slideshow URL on any TV, projector, or iPad — it’s your own URL, not a vendor login. Photos arrive in real time. On iPhone you can also cast straight to a TV.

What if a guest uploads something inappropriate?

Two layers of defense. Optional AI moderation (included with Event Plus, a $5 add–on otherwise) reviews uploads before they reach the wall. And from the organizer console you can multi–select to hide or delete anything in a few taps.

What languages does Festoso support?

English, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazil) — so a mixed–language guest list isn’t left out at the door.

Do you use my photographs to train models?

No. Photos and videos are stored scoped to your single event and deleted on the retention schedule you choose. We do not license your data to anyone. Optional AI moderation evaluates each upload for content flags and retains nothing. Full detail in our privacy policy, and you can export or delete your data at any time (GDPR/CCPA).

How long are photos kept, and what happens after?

Free events keep media for 7 days; paid events for 90. We email before the retention window closes — you can export the entire event in one tap, or pay $10 to extend retention by another ninety days. After deletion we keep nothing.

Can I get all the photos at the end?

Yes. Bulk–download the whole event — every photo and video — in a single tap. You also get an event report with totals, top contributors, and an activity timeline.

What is the refund policy?

Full refund before your event start time — email support@festoso.app. Once the event has begun we cannot refund the event SKU, but we will work with you directly if something went wrong on our end. Full policy in our Terms.
